BJP to field an unwilling Gyan Singh from Shahdol

BHOPAL: Minister for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes welfare Gyan Singh will be the BJP candidate for Shahdol Lok Sabha by-polls.

 Singh’s name has been finalised and a formal announcement is awaited.

According to sources, although Singh was not interested in contesting election for MP from this constituency but his name was leading in the BJP survey report.

With Congress fielding Himadri Singh as its candidate, BJP was left with Singh as the most suitable candidate.

As far Assembly by-polls in Nepanagar are concerned, the BJP has finalised Manju Dadu as its candidate. Manju is daughter of former MLA Rajendra Dadu, who died in a road accident leading to bye-polls.
