BJP MLA from Tikamgarh KK Shrivastava absconding for a year arrested, sent to jail

BHOPAL :  BJP MLA from Tikamgarh KK Shrivastava, who was absconding for the last one year, was arrested on Friday and sent on judicial remand.

KK Shrivastava with his four supporters had allegedly manhandled CEO Udai Raj on August 20, 2014. Udai Raj had lodged the complaint against Shrivastava and since then he was absconding. According to Kotwali police (Tikamgarh), KK Shrivastva has been sent on judicial remand.

MLA Shrivastava allegedly had barged into the office of Janpad Panchayat CEO Udairaj Singh and had beaten him up for not taking his phone calls. The MLA had forcibly taken away CEO in his jeep too. However, according to Shrivastava, a meeting regarding developmental works was called at Circuit House on that day and when the CEO did not turn up, he made phone calls to him, which also went unanswered.

Shrivastava said his followers brought the CEO to the Circuit House in a vehicle, where they had a meeting that lasted for half-an-hour. He claimed that allegation of assault were leveled against him to defame him.
