BJP functionaries rare visitors to state party office

Barring Jha, few others, most never took their work seriously

BHOPAL: The process of organizational elections in state BJP has started which would conclude by November. After this, the election of BJP state president will take place and new statelevel office-bearers would be appointed. It is  interesting that some office-bearers in state BJP, who have completed two ears in office, have visited the state office on very few occasions. BJP state president Prabhat Jha is an exception.

BJP functionaries rare visitors to state party office

Except when he is on tour, he is always available in the office. Jha spends his day interacting with party workers but excluding a few in his team, other state-level office-bearers seldom come to the office. These office-bearers do not tour the state either. Chetanya Kashyap, treasurer in Jha’s team came to party office not more than ten times in his tenure. Although Kashyap is on the post of treasurer but he never showed interest in contributing to  works like ‘Aajivan Sahyog Nidhi’ and ‘Vishesh Sahayog Nidhi’. Kashyap remained away from his duty as treasurer and spent most his time in Delhi to brighten his prospects in politics. Amongst state vice presidents Gaurishankar Shejwar, Bhupendra Singh and Anju Makhija too   remained inactive during their tenure.

Shejwar, despite his availability in the state capital, doesn’t come to party office while Singh and Makhija did not attend major programmes of the party. People within the party hardly know about MLA Kunwar Singh, who was made general secretary being a tribal. Virendra Gupta, Ganesh Singh, Anita Chapra, Omprakash Khatik, Dashrath Singh Lodhi, Nagar Singh Chauhan, Inder Singh  Parmar and Rajo Malviya were made state secretaries but they failed did not contribute much to party affairs. Maya Singh, Chandramani Tripathi and Vishwas Sarang, were made party spokespersons but they too failed to make a mark and they have no contribution in organization programmes.

The reality behind inactivity of party office bearers is the fact that most of these office-bearers were appointed to balance casteand local political equations and under pressure of senior leaders of BJP. This is the reason why these office-bearers did not show interest in the affairs of party organization after getting post and position.
