BHOPAL : The state government is readying to tighten its noose on mining baron and BJP leader Sudhir Sharma. Sharma has been arrested by STF in Vyapam scam.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and BJP organisation have also given green signal for stern action against Sharma. The documents related to SR Ferro Alloys, a firm owned by Sharma, are being scrutinised.

Sharma’s biggest venture is a manganese mine, which is located in Kajli Dongri of Jhabua district. This mine generates a significant amount of revenue for Sharma every month.

According to sources, district administration of Jhabua has been asked to keep an eye on Sharma’s mine. Several other ventures of Sharma including a pharmaceutical company are also under scrutiny.

Sources said Indore based BJP leaders have been given clear-cut instructions not to maintain connections with Sharma and his kin. Sharma has put BJP into trouble on several occasions. The income tax raids on Sharma in June 2012 and unearthing of property worth crores were used by Congress party to attack BJP.
