Says Naxals may attack Congress ‘Parivartan atras’
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Kantilal Bhuria fears naxal attacks on Congress workers in Madhya Pradesh, alleging that the government is not serious about providing security to Congress leaders.
Bhuria, who met the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Monday, sought protection from the union government. Bhuria said, the central ministry should instruct the state to provide adequate security cover to Congress leaders.
In the aftermath of the Chhattisgarh massacre, naxalites could target the Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh, who are taking out Parivartan atra.
” Congress workers could be on target of naxalites in Madhya Pradesh because districts adjacent to Chhattisgarh state have been naxal affected.” Earlier Congress has sought Z- plus security cover for its state president Bhuria and leader of opposition Ajay Singh.
Pointing out deteriorating law and order situation in the State, Bhuria said state is on the top in rape with minor girls and the government is not sensitive in tackling rising crime against women, thereby creating fear of insecurity among them.
Bhuria also met union railways minister CP Joshi and requested to provide more railways facilities particularly rail connectivity to backward and tribal areas.
