Professors of government colleges will get relaxation to leave headquarters during Lok Sabha polls. Higher education department (HED) has written to all collectors in this regard. Before the beginning of the next academic session- 2019-20- the work for recognition, affiliation of courses and colleges is in progress. On the other hand, model code of conduct too is in place and professors have been put on election duty. They are instructed not to leave the headquarters.
The letter from the HED states that a committee of professors inspect colleges concerned and recommend the renewal of their affiliation. Therefore it is imperative for the professors engaged in this work to leave headquarters. The last date for inspection work is April 30. HED has asked the collectors to spare such professors for inspection.
