Bhopal: A 50-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being stabbed in neck with a knife by his son in Jehangirabad area on Wednesday. In the attack youth also sustained injuries and both father and son are presently undergoing treatment in hospital where condition of father is reported to be critical.
SHO of Jehangirabad Anil Bajpai said that the injured is identified as Rafeeq Khan (50), a resident of Badwali Masjid near Jinsi. He works as a labourer and lives with his son Sameer Khan. On Wednesday afternoon around 3pm, scuffle broke out between the father and son and it soon turned nasty when Sameer stabbed his father Rafeeq in his neck with a knife and during the scuffle, Sameer too got injured.
After the incident both injured father and son were rushed to Hamidia hospital where condition of Rafeeq is reported to be critical. The statements could not be taken by the police to reach on any conclusion about the reason behind this bloody dispute however in the initial investigation it came to fore that Rafeeq’s son was angry with him over a domestic issue. A case has been registered and further course of action would be decided after the probe.
