Bhopal: Youth Congress slams ban on district cooperative banks accepting old notes

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress demonstrated in the city on Thursday against banning district cooperative banks to accept old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

Leading the demonstration, state party president Kunal Chaudhary, alleged that people in the state are reeling under economic emergency and the decision of Prime Minister Modi has taken 33 lives. Kunal alleged that BJP government has always shown dictatorial attitude towards farmers.

The decision to ban cooperative banks to accept old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 has come as shock to farmers. Youth Congress demanded the government to lift the ban, else it would demonstrate at Delhi on Friday.
