Bhopal: A fortnight after legs of a woman were recovered from a bag in Teela Jamalpura, police on Tuesday found a deserted sack stuffed with body parts of a woman in different locality of the city. Recovery of a woman’s body in a sack triggered panic in area connecting airport road on Tuesday morning. A resident while having tea near an under-construction nullah, complained of foul smell emanating from the area. On spotting a deserted stuffed bag, he alerted police.
A team from Gandhi Nagar police station reached spot and examined the body stuffed inside a sack. Cops to their shock found that body was severed into pieces using a cutter. On examination, the body, found to be that of a woman. The body was sent for the postmortem. This is a second incident when body parts were found stuffed inside sack, earlier, two legs were found inside a bag in Teela area. The limbs were severed using cutter.
Probe is on to ascertain whether the body parts at two different places were of a same woman or they were two separate cases of homicide. Gandhi Nagar sub-inspector Praveen Chouhan informed that a girl’s missing complaint was registered with Teela Jamalpura police station. The parents of the missing girl were called for identification, however, they to identify the body as their child, the officer said.
Admitting the striking similarities of the case with that of Teela Jamalpura incident, Chouhan said that police was waiting for the postmortem report to ascertain the other details. Notably, in Teela Jamapura area on December 26, two legs of a woman were found in a nullah and when cops failed to find the other parts of her body, a DNA test was carried out to ascertain her identity. Now, the cops have found another parts of a woman’s body.
