BHOPAL: A 36-year-old married woman, who made an abortive bid to end her life by jumping into Upper Lake a week ago, succeeded in her second suicide attempt on Wednesday. The woman hanged herself to death at her residence located in Teelajamalpura area, the police informed on Thursday.
According to SHO Pyarelal Chouhan, the deceased Sanjana Tulsani, 36, resided at RBI Colony, Teelajamalpura. Sanjana was a housewife, while her husband Bharat works with a private company in MP Nagar area. The couple has a son.
On Wednesday morning, her husband, who was at his workplace, called her up but found her mobile switched off. He then called his mother to inquired about Sanjana.
When the woman went to Sanjana’s room she found her body hanging from the ceiling fan. She immediately informed her son and ambulance was called. The medical staff declared her dead, later hee body was sent to Hamidia hospital for post-mortem .
No suicide note was left by the deceased woman. However, during the preliminary investigation, it came to fore that Sanjana was reeling under huge depression from past several months and had also made a suicide attempt on May 2.
The woman had left home telling the family that she was going to market, however, she went to Upper Lake and tried to end her life by jumping in it. However, her attempt was foiled by locals there.
