BHOPAL: Minister for urban development and housing Jaivardhan Singh has sought a detailed report of Gammon India Project of state capital asking the officials the reason for the delay. He was addressing a review meeting of MP Housing Board and Infrastructure Development Board and Capital Project Authority at Mantralaya on Thursday.
The Gammon India Limited is making the 22-storied tallest residential towers and the biggest commercial arcade of state. A mammoth Residential-cum-Commercial project of Gammon India-Shrishti CBD-is in the State Capital. It was Gammon India’s the Rs 338 crore re-densification project to build a Central Business District in a prime business locality of Bhopal. Minister wanted to see presentation of Gammon Project to know the factual position of the project. Voice has been raised for the delay.
Besides, he said that roads being constructed under master plan should be constructed under TDR (Transfer of Development Right). He said that onus is on MP Housing Board to fulfill the dream of common man for homes. Singh said, “Housing scheme should also be made for semi-urban area in addition to urban areas so that MP Housing Board would get profit. Housing Board should also endeavor in PM Housing Scheme. Proposal should be prepared in this regard. We will take initiative to connect it.”
Singh also reviewed the working of capital project authority (CPA). The areas where roads are being constructed should be on transfer of development right for speedy construction of roads. There must be coordination between agencies involved in road constructions. Meeting was appraised about rejuvenate and face lift of MP Housing Board old colonies.
