Bhopal: After a long time, the western districts of MP received pre-Monsoon rain and thundershower activity. With rains heat wave conditions have been abated in MP. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Shajapur recorded 5 mm of rain, Indore 2 mm and Rewa 3 mm of rains.
In the same time frame, Nowgong, Jhansi, Datia, Gwalior, witnessed traces of rains. Now a trough is extending from East Uttar Pradesh to Karnataka across Chhattisgarh and Southeast MP. Therefore, isolated rain activity is expected to continue Southeast MP.
Pre-Monsoon rains have been making an appearance over eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh since the last few days. During the last 24 hours, scattered light rains occurred over eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh. Light rain is likely at Gwalior, Chambal, Shahdol, Rewa, Sagar, and Jabalpur divisions and Hoshangabad, Betul, Raisen, Bhopal, Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone and Burhanpur districts.
At temperature front, despite nominal decreased in temperature, there was no respite from hot weather. Besides, clouds cover made the weather humid. By the evening gusty wind lashed the state capital providing a bit of relief from scorching heat.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 41.7 degree Celsius while it recorded a minimum temperature of 29.4 degree Celsius. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 41.4 degree Celsius while it recorded a minimum temperature of 23.8 degree Celsius. Isolated dust storm or thunderstorm is possible over MP, and Northwestern Plains within next 24 hours.
