Bhopal: The alleged WhatsApp chat between collector of Shahdol Anubha Shrivastava and deputy collector Pooja Tiwari has generated a lot of heat in MP. Rajya Sabha MP and senior lawyer Vivek Tankha tweeted that if such a conversation had really taken place, action should be taken against the officials.
In the first stage, evidence should be collected against the officials concerned, and then, suspension proceedings should be started, Tankha tweeted. Nevertheless, the office of the chief electoral officer termed the WhatsApp chat as fake, and it tweeted that someone had manipulated it out of mischief.
CEO office further said there was no such WhatsApp communication between the two officials, and the police were inquiring into the complaint lodged in connection with the alleged incident. After the WhatsApp chat went viral, the Congress demanded a probe, saying that such incident would have taken place during the elections because of pressure exerted by the BJP leaders.
