Bhopal: Vivek Agarwal, Hariranjan Rao shifted from CM Secretariat, Barnwall to continue

Bhopal: Kamal Nath, after assuming charge of Chief Minister has started making changes in bureaucracy. In a bureaucratic reshuffle at CM Secretariat, Nath on Wednesday shifted principal secretary Vivek Agarwal and Hariranjan Rao. Agarwal has been relieved from CM Secretariat as well as principal secretary, urban administration department and posted at public health engineering department.

Ashok Barnwall would continue as principal secretary, CM Secretariat. Barnwall has been assigned charge of principal secretary, public service management department. Pramod Agarwal, principal secretary, public health engineering department and managing director, Madhya Pradesh Jal Corporation has been posted as principal secretary, urban administration department, administrator, Capital Project and managing director, Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Company.

Hariranjan Rao has been posted as principal secretary, tourism, technical education and skill department. He has been relieved from CM Secretariat only. Vivek and Hari had already relieved the charge of CM Secretariat with the change of government. Additional chief secretary Manoj Shrivastava has also been removed from culture department. Shrivastava would continue having charge of commercial tax department.

Shrivastava is known to be quite close to former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during BJP government had a significant say in affairs of culture department.Renu Tiwari has been posted as secretary, culture department. P. Narhari, commissioner, public relations has been given attention and he has also been assigned the charge of secretary, aviation department.
