Bhopal: Vidisha defeated Bhopal by 5 wickets to win the title of Inter District T-20 Cricket Tournament on Thursday being played at Old Campion cricket ground. The first match of the day was played between Rajgarh team and Bhopal team. This was the second semi-final of tournament.
Rajgarh won the toss and chose to bowl first. Bhopal batted first and scored 194 runs in the given 20 overs at a loss of 4 wickets. Samad Khan scored an unbeaten 116 runs and Avaz Qureshi gave a contribution of 25 runs to the team’s score. Sahil picked 2 wicket of Bhopal team while Noman clinched 1 wicket.
Chasing the score, Rajgarh team was able to score only 96 run in given overs at a loss of 5 wickets. Aditya Raikwar and Chanchal scored an unbeaten 20 and 16 runs respectively for the Rajgarh team. Danish and Avaz both clinched one wicket of Rajgargh.
The final match was played between Vidisha and Bhopal at Old Campion ground. Bhopal team won the toss and elected to bat first. With Abhishek scoring 49 runs, Prakhyat and Jaidev scoring 30 runs each, Bhopal team came up with a score of 189 runs at a loss of 6 wickets. Manoj Kushwaha and Daualt both picked 2 wickets of Bhopal team. Vidisha chased the score in 17.3 overs only losing 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets. Palash scored an unbeaten 87 runs and Daulat gave a contribution of 52 runs to the team’s score.
