Narsinghpur: A district-level ‘Media Samvad’ was held here on Thursday. The programme was centred on challenges before journalists in changing times and with advent of new technology.
Collector Dr RR Bhonsle, Dr Dhirendra Pathak, head of the journalism department of Jabalpur University, Brijesh Rajput and Manoj Sharma, journalists from Bhopal participated in the programme organised by the public relations department. Assistant director, public relations Yashwant Singh Barare and S Silakari, faculty of Mahatma Gandhi College, Kareli were also present.
Bhonsle emphasised on publication of factual and credible news. He said that before posting anything the on social media, its veracity should be verified. Dr Dhirendra Pathak informed about the various legal and Constitutional provisions related to freedom of expression and press.
