Bhopal: The cabinet meeting on Friday witnessed huge uproar over electricity bills. Ministers said that severe resentment was developing in people over electricity bills. Ministers said that electricity bills of farmers and people were more than one thousand rupees. They said that they were facing complaints of people from various quarters.
Chief Minister Kamal Nath, on the complaints of ministers, directed that a committee be constituted in every district to check electricity bills. Nath said the committee would have officers and local representatives. Nath said poor and common man would not be bothered over electricity bills.
During informal discussion, it also came to the fore that the students pursuing courses in engineering, polytechnic and ITI, were not getting jobs. Nath said the courses which are job-oriented, would be launched. The cabinet also approved the appointment of BP Singh as state election commissioner.
