Bhopal: The upper age limit for candidates appearing in Madhya Pradesh public service commission exams of state has been raised from 28 to 35 years.
This approval by state cabinet is expected to pave way for recruitment in administrative services including 2,500 professors for higher education department.
The state cabinet also approved a new high-tech jail in Chhindwara. This central jail of 1,000 capacity will be build with Rs 224 crores.
Minister PC Sharma, while briefing media said that now collapse of canals will also be considered as calamity and affected will be provided compensation under appropriate sections of revenue Act. Loss of crops and lives will be compensated.

Discussion on electricity and water supply were the focus of the meet besides cabinet proposals. Most of the ministers urged the CM to assure a system that could promise uninterrupted power and water supply.
He said that second phase of loan waivers will begin soon. Government will take care that farmers do get seeds and fertilizers in time and there is no shortage of it.
