Bhopal: Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya met MP CM Kamal Nath and invited him to Kumbh starting January 15 in Prayagraj. MP CM Nath has asked for space at Kumbh mela venue specially dedicated to MP. Maurya has assured Nath on it.
Maurya met Nath in state secretariat on Saturday. Maurya has assured MP CM on providing space for MP Pavillion at Kumbh. Maurya said that starting of some special trains from MP to Prayagraj dedicated to Kumbh are under consideration.
Maurya said that more than 12 crore devotees from about 192 countries are expected at Kumbh this year. Ambassadors of more than 70 countries have inspected the mela venue and were satisfied on the arrangements made for the pilgrims. UNESCO has declared this gathering as a world heritage.
Giving details about the security arrangements at Kumbh he said that complete Kumbh area is covered under CCTV surveillance. Several facilities have been constructed recently including 22 bridges and 250 kms of road in Kumbh area.
The budget of Kumbh has been increased from Rs 1214 crore in 2013 to Rs 4300 crore in the year 2019. He also said that number of toilets too have been increased this year considering number of expected visitors. Replying to a question, Maurya said that till date no provision of insurance cover has been provided for the pilgrims.
