Bhopal : Two separate incidents of rape were reported in the city in last twenty four hours. A 16-year-old girl has filed a rape complaint against a man who used to be her mother’s partner. The girl is a student of class 10.
According to Govindpura police, the complainant lives with her mother. Her mother came in contact with the alleged accused, a salesman in a private firm and after developing an affair started living with him.

As the girl was naive then, he kept exploiting her and recently when she started refusing his advances after she developed maturity to comprehend the situation, he threatened to ditch her mother. She failed to narrate the ordeal to her mother for the duration of two years until recently when the she came to know that he has married someone else. The duo then shared their ordeal with their relatives who told them to contact police.

On Sunday, they reached Govindpura police station and field a police complaint. The medical examination of the victim has been conducted. Accused has been booked under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act. A man hunt has been launched to nab him.

In another incident, Aishbagh police have booked a man for raping his woman friend’s daughter. According to Aishbagh SHO Ajay Nayar the alleged accused raped the girl when she was alone at her home on October 18. From then he raped her whenever he used to find her alone, he added. She then reached Hoshangabad to her maternal uncle’s family where she narrated the ordeal. A case was then filed in Hoshangabad after which the case was transferred in the city.
