Bhopal: Two incidents of suicides were reported in the city where two women and a man ended their lives in last 24 hours. In the first incident, in Gandhi Nagar area, a 20- year-old girl ended her life as her parents refused to take her along with them to a marriage function of a relative on Friday. According to police, deceased was a school dropout.
On Friday, her father along with wife and son were going to attend wedding function in Anand Nagar on bike and as there was no space on seat of motorbike, they refused to take her with them. Irked over it, she hanged self to death as soon as family members left home and later when family members returned home, they spotted her hanging body and later (uncle) mausa of girl reported the incident to police.
In another incident, a 22-year-old college girl, allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at her home in Naveen Nagar in Aishbagh locality, police said on Saturday. Investigation officer ASI Daulat Singh said that deceased lived in house with her parents and she was one among five siblings including 4 sisters and a brother. The girl was pursuing graduation whereas her father is in a government job.
