Bhopal: Two held for robbing man of mobile phone

BHOPAL: TT Nagar police arrested two men for robbing a man of his mobile phone. The accused before robbing the 31-year man had stolen another bag in Jahangirabad area and after they were arrested from 2nd stop at night, the stolen mobile and other booty were found.

Due to swift action by two on duty patrolling cops, the accused were arrested within two hours. The victim Mohan Thakur was returning from his work late in the night when he saw two men heading towards the direction, he was going.

He signalled them for lift and they stopped. They took the man with them and after travelling a few metres, one of them snatched his mobile phone. They then threatened the man and fled the area. The victim in a state of surprise started moving forward towards his home.

He then saw two policemen there and he informed them about the incident. The team then swung into action and the accused were then arrested from Jahangirabad on the basis of the details about their bike and look, provided by Thakur.

On being held, they were frisked and police found them carrying another bag and it was then found that the bag too was stolen from Jahangirabad after the loot with this man. The accused have been identified as Muktesh Thakur and Monu Patil who are habitual offenders with crime records.
