Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): At least six persons sustained serious injuries after two groups clashed on Sunday, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred at Mundla Chattan village in Bersia. Heavy police force have been deployed in the village to avoid further untoward incident.
According to police, two persons identified as Rup Singh Meena and Saudan in Gurjar entered into an altercation after Meena’s tractor entered field of Gurjar.
The altercation turned ugly when both relatives reached the spot and attacked each other with sharp-edged weapons and iron rods.
The police said that 14 persons from both sides have been booked for attempt to murder and other relevant sections of IPC.
In-charge of Bersia police station Kailashnarayan Bhardwaj said one of the accused has been arrested and efforts are on to nab other accused. He further added that security of the village has been beefed up to avoid any further untoward incident.
