BHOPAL: The state government is going to file a caveat petition on Monday in Madhya Pradesh High Court, Jabalpur and also in HC bench Indore and Gwalior, anticipating challenge against the transfer order of police officials in wake of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The PHQ issued orders in this connection on Sunday.

The home department has decided to file a caveat to appeal before the court that no order be passed in any petition concerning the stay on the transfer of the official without hearing the state government. On the direction of Election Commission of India, in the coming days, the state government will have to issue transfer orders in police department.

Some of the official may challenge the order in the court seeking stay on it and this will obstruct the government from executing the order of the ECI. The government is undertaking administrative transfers as election model code of conduct will be imposed shortly in view of LS elections.
