Bhopal: Transfer of officials begins from today; Return of officers removed post-government change looks difficult

BHOPAL: The officers transferred after the change of government may find it difficult to return.

For the first time, after returning to power, the BJP is lifting the ban on transfers on Thursday.

One clause in the transfer policy has worried the ministers. According to the new transfer policy, the proposal for shifting of the officers and the officials, who have been transferred between March 23 last year and June 30 this year, should be sent to the Chief Minister through Coordination.

The problem with the ministers is that the files related to any change in the shifting of those who have been transferred in the past one year and three months, should be sent to the Chief Minister.

This clause in the transfer policy has turned out to be like a ban on shifting and posting of officers.

The proposals for transfer sent by the minister to the Chief Ministerís secretariat and to the office of the chief secretary are being sent back to the respective departments.

According to the policy, those who have been afflicted with the corona pandemic should not be transferred.

Nevertheless, even when the ban on transfers was in place, a large number of officers had been shifted.

Now that the ban on transfers has been lifted, the officers who have not been shifted after the change of government will be victims of the new policy.
