Bhopal: Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has advised its members to keep pace with new technologies and learn intricacies of cashless transaction to boost business. Traders cannot keep themselves away from learning computer operation if they want to run their business efficiently, the traders body told its members.

Addressing a seminar on ‘e-way bill’ here, CAIT national president, CA, BC Bharatia asked the traders to encourage cash-less transaction as government is promoting for the interest of people and nation. “Everywhere ‘smart’ word is being used like Smart PM, Smart city, then why not smart trade or smart –business we can use. We will have to understand intricacy of cashless transaction.”

Stating that small traders do not have fleet of employees, Bharatia said that they should engage daughters, daughter–in-law for back-office work. It will ensure women participation in business, he added. CAIT general secretary Pravin Khandelwal stated that entire business pattern has changed and traders need to keep pace with new technology.

“It is era of technology in business. Entire trend of business will be changed by 2019. Government is looking committed to it. You cannot pretend that you do not know computer. You will have to be familiar with new technologies. CAIT president (mp chapter) Kailash Agrwal said traders are facing teething problems in GST and e-billing and the seminar is being organised to clarify the doubts and issues pertaining to the new system.
