BHOPAL: The park located at 1100 Quarters needs immediate facelift as presently it is of no use for the local residents, especially children. The ground looks as it has been ploughed. Though the park does have swings and slides but the ground is uneven and there is no grass. The local residents, without any hesitation, build sheds and fence public area for parking their cars but they are not ready to spend a penny for bettering the condition of the park. It shows lethargic attitude of the local residents, though, officially of course, it is the duty and responsibility of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration to maintain the park.
Rajesh Wadhwani
“Park should be properly maintained as it is for local residents. Even local residents should take initiative on their own without waiting for the BMC administration as it is noble and social issue and they should come forward for maintenance.”
Suraj Singh
“It is not in proper shape so parents do not allow their wards to play there. At least ground should be properly levelled. The onus lies on BMC as well as local residents to maintain the park.”
Shyam Yadav
“It is lethargic attitude of the local residents as they are living there for years so it is their responsibility and accountability to maintain the park without waiting for the BMC. They should contribute to this social cause.”
Vivek Agrawal
“There must be proper greenery in the park and it should be fenced with flowering plants. There must be proper maintenance as it enhances the beauty of the area and makes it possible for the people to unwind.”
