Khargone: Tension prevailed here in few parts of Khargone town after some unidentified anti-socials stabbed a person belonging to minority community here on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at around 6 pm here at Madarsa Daru-Ullam road under Khargone police station jurisdiction. The victim has been identified as Sajid. According to information, at the time of incident Sajid was heading towards Madarsa Daru-Ullam when some bike-borne anti-socials, who had their faces covered, stabbed him. Passersby took him to district hospital, where doctors referred him to Indore. As soon as news spread in the town, tension gripped Talai Marg and Gol area. Stone pelting incident was also reported in these areas. Within few minutes, the areas wore a deserted look as all shops were shut down. One person was reportedly injured in stone pelting incident.
To avert any untoward incident, heavy police force has been deployed at Talab Chowk, Mohan talkies, Rameshwar talkies, Talai Marg and Bawadi bus stand. When contacted superintendent of police D Kalyan Chakravarti said mild tension prevailed in the area after incident, but now situation is under control. Police force has been deployed in the area.
