Bhopal: Teacher orientation workshop discuses on low cost teaching aids

Bhopal: A teacher orientation workshop organised by Regional Museum of Natural History on Wednesday. As many as nineteen in-service teachers participated in the workshop in which Manoj Kumar Sharma, Scientist-B & incharge emphasised the role of natural history museum in the field of teaching. Sharma on the occasion detailed about low cost teaching aids since students may learn effectively through low cost teaching aids.

During the session on Exhibit Corner in the School Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-B and coordinator of workshop told that dry leaf of people, dead and dry butterfly, insects, seep, snail, human made plants and animals etc could be display at gallery of school, any corner, under the tree or in room so that students and other people may receive information through these display.

Similarly, the museum visit was arranged for participant teachers. During the next session, Arvind Anupam, Modeller/Exhibit Preparator demonstrated the preparation of teaching aids through moulding and casting. After that all the participants prepared artificial leaf under the guidance of Anupam.
