With two more deaths, the swine flu death toll swelled to 44 in Bhopal till Wednesday. These deaths have been reported since January this year. Among the deceased 19 are from Bhopal and rest had come to Bhopal for treatment and subsequently died in various hospitals during the treatment.
CMHO Dr NU Khan said, “Total deaths are 44 in Bhopal. But actual residents of Bhopal are 19 and rest of patients who died, had come to Bhopal for treatment. On Wednesday, 14 samples were sent but none of them came positive.” Dr Khan further said, “We have sufficient stock of medicines for the treatment so there is nothing to panic as such in the state capital.”
