BHOPAL: Swami Vivekanand Library will now purchase books suggested by its members. As per its new approved collection policy, the books will be purchased considering choice of its members. The policy will be applicable from January 1, 2017.

As per the policy, around 100 books suggested by its members will be purchased every month. Similarly, 100 books published across the world in that month will be purchased and 100 books on a contemporary subject will be purchased every month. A committee constituted from the members of the library will decide about purchasing of books.

The policy also has provision of any member giving suggestion to buy any number of books once. The suggestion would be registered in a suggestion register on library counter. Suggestions could also be mailed by the members.

The suggestions received by 15th over every month, will be considered to purchase and bring books by the end of month. The member, who suggests buying a particular book, will get the chance to read that book first and will also get free-reservation facility on that book.
