Bhopal: Thousands of students of 36 medical colleges and university gathered at Shaurya Smarak to pay tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama attack and to laud the Indian Air Force for striking down terrorist camps in Pakistan. Enthusiastic students filled with feeling of satisfaction and rage against Pakistan were present and altogether they raised the slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Pakistan Murdabad.

Dr Praneet Jain of Nursing Profession Development Welfare Society said, “We are very happy with this action of Indian Air Force and it is my appeal to Indian government that we the people related to nursing profession are ready to serve for the nation and can be used as care-taker of Indian Defence forces in medical terms.”

The gathering paid tribute to the Indian Defence Forces and concluded the meeting with singing of National Anthem. Free Press talked to the youth, of the capital city, who aspire to join Indian defence services to know about their views about the air strikes conducted by Indian Air Force in Balakot.

This is an example of a smart move with full strength.  It was important to retaliate, after the cowardly terror attack at Pulwama, and India did it really well. It shows the might of Indian diplomacy and strategy that major powerful nations stood against Pakistan. Along with it, India smartly gave indications about its retaliatory action against Pakistan, to major global powers. Indian Air Force successfully destroyed the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp situated in Pakistan’s territory, despite high alert in Pakistan, with its forces on full vigilance. It was a necessary step, as there were threats of terror attacks on India. Though the training camp of Jaish is destroyed, the master mind of Jaish is still alive. Hence the next move should be focused on uprooting the whole terror group, bringing stability in Kashmir, and further strengthening of our Intelligence agency and Armed Forces.

Asma Khan, Military Science Student

This is a proud moment for Indian Air Force (IAF) as the attack was done in a very special manner and no civilian was killed. In fact this is the specialty of Indian Defence Forces that no innocent is harmed. IAF killed about 300 militants of the terrorist organization ‘Jaish-E-Mohommad’ who took the responsibility of the Pulwama attack. But we must keep one thing in mind that they will retaliate for sure and we have to be prepared. Being a military science student I have analysed the situation and I think all these attacks are indicating towards a cold war between the two countries. This air strike was not a solution to the whole problem. In fact, we need to work on internal resolutions for better results.

Ayush Upadhyay, Defence and Strategic Studies Student

In my views, this is the right and the most appropriate step taken by India. It was neither against Pakistan nor military action but the pre-emptive action on the terrorists’ camps as according to reports JeM was planning more attacks on India. India did the right thing by firstly strengthening up diplomatic relations with powerful nations after Pulwama attack so that this air strike won’t damage India’s international relations. On the other hand, if Pakistan also stands against terrorism then I think it is the right time for them to keep their land free from terrorism and jointly operate strikes over these facilities in PoK.

Abhishek Tiwari, Defence Aspirant

India is liberal that doesn’t mean that we don’t know how to retaliate; we even know how to destroy. “I congratulate Indian Air Force for successfully conducting the strikes. Giving a free hand to our defence personnal by our PM Narendra Modi displays the power of India around the world. Conversation with Iran to destroy terror outfits in Pakistan is a good option to encircle Pak and Pakistan sponsored terror groups,” he said.
