Bhopal: The late-autumn sun played hide and seek with the residents of the city on Sunday.
As a result, the sunlight was mellow, and many residents basked in it, sitting on their rooftops.
The state capital registered a minimum temperature of 12.4°C at night. The dry northerlies blew intensifying the chilliness, reducing the minimum temperature across the state.
The maximum temperature in the state capital was 30.1°C, said weather office.
The Raisen and Umaria district recorded the lowest temperature of 10°C.
There was no major change in the temperature in the past 24 hours. The people in slum areas lit bonfires to beat the nippiness.
In the evening, a few road vendors were also seen sitting before bonfires.
The warmth in the weather may last for one or two weeks more, and, after this, the real chilliness will descend on the city, according to forecasters.
As the cold weather is expected to continue, the idea of sitting in front of a blazing fire with a hot chocolate and a classic movie may be a delicious prospect.
