BHOPAL: The liquor shop located in Sarvadharm Colony is a big headache for the local residents as well as businessmen as it is centre point of nuisance. There remains a huge presence of buyers of booze and students of schools and engineering colleges use to a large part of them. But as everyone is afraid of liquor mafia and no one dares individually to raise voice against the shop. Earlier, they had launched a massive campaign which ended without yielding any result. The people are still indignant but they do not come together again to oppose the outlet.
As per the localities, only business potential should not be considered before opening the liquor shop. Public interest should also be considered. Liquor mafia open shop after assessing the market potential but administration should also verify all the factors before issuing license. Clashes, disputes and use of the abusive languages in public are common scene at liquor shop. Business of other shops in the area has been ruined because of it. No doubt, it is business, but overall scene is not good for people.
