Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) could not send marksheets of students who passed class 12 to their schools. Several students are facing challenge in getting admission in colleges. The MPBSE declared results on May 15 last. While releasing the results in a programme organised at Excellence School, senior board officials had said that marksheets would be sent to schools within a week.
Admissions in colleges have already begun but large numbers of students are stuck as their marksheets haven’t reached yet. Their marksheets have to be verified before the final admission call. The last date for admission in some popular courses like BA, BSc, BCA, BCom is June 16. Moreover, large numbers of students have also applied for diploma courses in polytechnics and other institutes across the state. Last dates of admission in most of such institutes areeither over or will be over within a day or two. About 6 lakh students appeared Class 12 exams with 68.94 percent tasted success. Girl students have been freed from registration fees while boys have to pay Rs 100 as registration fees.
Applicants have to produce original marksheet for verification, after which the admission is finalised. Girl students could not avail the benefit of no registration free scheme of the state government. No board official wants to say anything on record but add that marksheets will be delivered to the respective schools within a day or two.
