Bhopal: Students celebrate the spirit of freedom on Independence Day

Bhopal: City students celebrate 72nd Independence Day on Wednesday with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. Flag hoisting ceremony, cultural events evoking patriotism marked the celebrations at schools all across the city. Students presented march past, staged skits showcasing the bravery of freedom fighters who scarified their lives for the country.

Anand Vihar School celebrated 72nd Independence Day on Wednesday. The celebration began with guard of honour to the chief guest Shakun Dhoot by school band. After unfurling of national flag, Navy, Army and Air Wing of NCC cadets presented the March Past.

Welcome speech and introduction to the chief guest was given by the school principal Shailesh Zope. The newly elected students’ Council took the oath to remain true and loyal in their duties towards the school.

Remembering the freedom fighters, students presented their views on the I-day in Hindi and English. Patriotic song “Namami Devi Narmade” was presented by the children on the theme of “Swatch Bharat”. Skit was performed highlighting the importance of bravery of soldiers and their services, their devotion towards the country.

Sharda Vidya Mandir students visits old-age home

Sharda Vidya Mandir, Barkhedi Kalan, Ratibad Road, Bhopal celebrated Independence Day with great pride and honour. The day began with the hoisting of the tricolor by the chairman of the school Vinay Agrawal and principal Shefali Gautam Students  presented a patriotic Qawwali.

Other than the song and dances choreographed for the occasion the students also put up a Dance Drama based on the martyrdom ‘Mangal Pandey’, during India’s struggle for freedom. As part of the Independence Day celebration school children visited Apna Ghar, an old age home and presented clocks as a token of love and respect.

Mithians acknowledge gallantry of defence forces

Independence Day was celebrated at Mithi Gobindram Public School (MGPS) with great zeal and enthusiasm. Paying tribute to the heroes of Kargil War Mithians acknowledged the efforts and gallantry of our Armed Forces through a Skit Presentation-‘Kargil Ke Seene Se’ presented by 45 Students (Std. VIII to XII) under the guidance and direction of Durga Mishra, Swati Singh, NishaThapa, KaminiSoni and Huma Ullah Khan.

The day began with unfurling of the National Flag in the presence of vice president of SHKES, Hero Gyanchandani, secretary, SHKES A.C. Sadhwani, chief guest Col. Rakesh Budhani, Col. Narayan Parwani, Principal, Ajay Kant Sharma, Vice Principal Rita Gurbani,  facilitators and the students. Col. Rakesh Budhani highlighted the importance of soldiers for a nation. He asked one and all to remember and read about the freedom fighters who scarified their lives for country’s independence.

Bal Bhawan students remember freedom fighters

Independence Day celebration was marked with immense patriotic vehemence in Bal Bhawan School, Bhopal. NCC cadet welcomed the principal Rajesh Sharma and vice-principal Humaira Arif. Sharma hoisted the tricoloured flag sharp at 7.50am. It was followed by the inspiring speeches by head boy Sankalp Dixit, the deputy head girl Nasreen Sultana and articulate students, reminding about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.

The celebration proceeded with the principal’s speech striking the chord of the importance of the I-Day in our life. He also urged each one to serve our motherland with all sincerity and bring magnificence and laurels with our words and accomplishments.

Campionites host patriotic music

Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal celebrated Independence Day with a great deal of patriotic fervour in its Secondary section Assembly Hall. A special tribute was paid to soldiers through “Leke aayi hai Hawayein yeh ishara, Chaliye ne Chaliye Vatan mere yaara”, “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo ,Mera Mulk mera Desh, Sarfaroshi ki tammana, Desh mere Desh mere meri AAN hai tu,”, the patriotic song by Primary and Secondary Students.

Patriotic song including “Aazadi ki khuli hawa mai hum nikle “Vande Matram”, “Sare Jahan se accha…,’ ‘ kadam kadam milaye …,’ ‘Ye mere pyare vatan..,’ etc played by students of primary and  secondary section. The events that followed, included a beautiful piece of patriotic Hindi song and a blindfold dance, performed by the students of the Secondary. The School Captain Prabal Gupta delivered a speech on I-Day.
