BHOPAL: It was hottest day of current season in the state capital on Sunday with 43.3 degree Celsius. Bhopal had 43.4 degree Celsius on April 18,2010 and 44.0 degree Celsius on April 30,2009. Similarly, Indore had recorded 43.6 degree Celsius on April 30, 2009.

Entire state continued to simmer under intense heat wave and recorded very high temperature. Hot wind enhanced the discomfort level for the citizens. In Bhopal, it was real Sun-day with highest temperature so far. Heat wave continued to sweep the entire state.

Normal life was totally paralysed. People ventured out only after wrapping facial region-head and face with cotton and having enough water for protection. With one degree Celsius rise, Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 43.3 degree Celsius which was 2.9 degree Celsius above normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 25.4 degree Celsius which was one degree Celsius above normal.

Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 43.4 degree Celsius which was 2.9 degree Celsius above normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 26.0 degree Celsius which was 2.9 degree Celsius above normal. As per meteorological department, heat wave conditions prevailed over Madhya Pradesh and other states. Heat wave conditions will continue in Madhya Pradesh and other states. Temperatures will increase further.
