Bhopal: State assembly pays tribute to Jayalalithaa

BHOPAL: The state assembly on Tuesday paid homage to Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha, who died on late Monday night, and observed two minuets silence. Finance minister Jayant Malaiya said that the programmes introduced by her, like midday meal, Amma thali and best government schools, are followed by the other states. Acting leader of opposition Bala Bachchan said that she was a brilliant student who cleared the Class 10 with second rank in the state, but the hardship faced by her family made her to join the silver screen, but the leader did not became the victim of celluloid glamour and devoted her life to serve people.
