Bhopal: Renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya was in the city to promote the show ‘Ek Sringar Swabhiman’. The show revolves around a story about two daughters striving to uphold their mother’s honour and a woman, who are educated and family oriented at the same time. The show airs at 9:30 pm from Monday to Friday on Colors channel.
To celebrate the success of the show, star cast Sangeita Chouhan and Ankita sharma also visited the city and shared their experience with the production house and their co stars. Barjatya told media persons at Courtyard by Marriott on Thursday that he in the past also had visited Bhopal for shoots and felt connected to the city.
Shedding light on the show, he said, “Rajshree Production has always believed in presenting stories that are endearing and appealing to the audience, be it in films or on television. The serial is a novel concept bringing to light the story of a mother Sharda who has inculcated values balancing family life and self-respect in her daughters Meghna and Naina.”
Praising the efforts of young brigade, Barjatya said they had put a lot of effort and he was extremely proud of them. He also said the serials had an impact on society and they made serials and films based on social circumstances.
Sangeita and Ankita, on being asked about the issues like catfight between co-actresses said they behaved like real sisters even when the camera was off.
On being asked as to how they related to their character in the serial where they are playing highly educated girls having degrees from top notch institutes and are also upholding their values, Ankita said still there were women who were leading a balanced life.
