BHOPAL: Bhopal would soon get smart parking facility in two locations of the city including one at MP Nagar zone-1 and the other at 10 No. Market. Launching the initiative of the smart parking facility, mayor Alok Sharma carried an inspection of the ‘proof of concept’ at MP Nagar locality readied by Mindtech (India) and Civic Smart (USA) on Friday here.
During the inspection Sharma said the parking facility would soon to be offered to the people of the city which would be a hi-tech one having security features like CCTV cameras and a fixed parking fees.
“With the development of this facility, people would be able to see the available parking slots in it through a mobile phone application and make payment through e-payment modes. Apart from this, it would add about Rs 25 lakh in the BMC’s revenue,” said the mayor.
The facility in MP Nagar zone-1 would be developed near Manohar Dairy while the other one would be developed near 10 No. Market by GK Parking Solutions and companies of India and France jointly.
