Bhopal: Town Inspector of Gairatganj police station in Raisen district Sanjay Dubey committed suicide by shooting self following a family tension, on Thursday. No suicide note was recovered by the police. SP Raisen JS Rajput said that SHO Dubey had shot himself with his service revolver at his residence at Nandni Nagar around 11.30 am. At the time of incident, his wife Seema was performing puja. When she heard the gunshot, she rushed and found Sanjay in a pool of blood. With the help of neighbours, she rushed him to a hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The police have not recovered any suicide note or message written by the deceased SHO. “He was a good officer and a person, we have lost a brave officer and this loss can’t be filled,” the SP said. Sources said that the SHO was in depression for long and was also addicted to alcohol. It is also said that the deceased was having dispute with his wife for several years, many a time they have quarrelled, but their families settled the issue.

He is survived by a 15-year-old son and 19 years old daughter, who are currently living in Bhopal with their maternal grandparents to complete their studies. Dubey was posted in Gairatganj on June 27,2016. He has also worked in Bhopal, Vidisha and many other places. It is also claimed that he was taking medicines from a psychiatrist. On Thursday morning, he visited the police station and also attended duty. He returned home but after some time he shot himself.
