BHOPAL : The entire state shivered on Tuesday as day temperature remained much below normal while night temperature was much above normal. Drop of 6°C was recorded in day temperature while night temperature continued to soar in the state capital. Same trend was witnessed all over the state.
Almost all the divisions experienced rainfall during the last 24 hours in the state. Damoh, Garhakota, Baxwaha each recorded 3cm rain, while Umaria, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Hata, Rehali, Sehore, Bhopal, Shajapur and Ujjain recorded 2cm of rainfall each. Weatherman has attributed the sudden change in weather to confluence of opposing winds over parts of central and adjoining peninsular India and eastern part of the country.
Bhopal shivered in daytime as there was a sharp fall in temperature. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 18.7°C which was 6°C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 14.5°C which was 5°C above normal.
On Monday, the day temperature was 24.3°C and night temperature was 13.4°C. It shows that day temperature reduced by 5.6°C and night temperature soared by 1°C.
As per the meteorological department, rain and thundershower activities with chance of hailstorm are likely to occur at a few places over Sagar, Shahdol, Rewa divisions and Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Datia, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Vidisha, Raisen districts and isolated places over rest of the state. Dense fog is most likely at a few places over Chambal, and Rewa divisions and Gwalior, Datia, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Chhattarpur and Panna districts.
Moderate to dense fog is likely to occur at few places over rest of north Madhya Pradesh.
