Bhopal: BJP chief Amit Shah, during his three-day stay in the capital, will deliver a lecture on ‘Naya Bharat Manthan: Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak’ (Brainstorming on new India: From resolution to realisation) at Samanvay Bhavan here on August 19. The event will be part of the series of functions being organised by the BJP to mark the Quit India Day. Minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj will also be present on the occasion.
During his visit from August 18-21, Shah will participate in many public functions, besides attending various meetings of the party and its wings and cells.
On August 19, he will release a book written by veteran BJP leader Kailash Sarang on PM Narendra Modi. This programme is being arranged by cooperatives minister Vishwas Sarang in his personal capacity at a private hotel.
Shah will also be chief guest at a function organised for the beneficiaries of the state government’s Medhavi Chhatra Yojana. The government is making massive preparations for the event. During his stay in the city, the government will be solely focussed on his programmes. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be accompanying Shah during his entire tour. Chouhan will attend all the programmes of Shah.
Meetings to invitees only
Normally, meetings organised at the state BJP office are open to all the functionaries of the party. However, in the meetings to be chaired by Shah, only those invited will be allowed entry. On 18 August, Shah will address a joint meeting of national party office-bearers from the state, state office-bearers, district presidents, presidents of morchas, MPs, MLAs and divisional organisational secretaries. He will also address separate meetings of state office-bearers, MPs and MLAs and ministers on the same day. On the next day, he will speak to state chiefs of morchas and cells, former MPs and former MLAs. On August 20, he will address meetings of election management committee, core group and in-charges of I-T, social media and media cells.
