Bhopal: Temperature dropped up to six degree Celsius in different parts of State on Thursday. Bhopal recorded a drop of 3.4 degree Celsius and weather man attributed the dip in temperature to snow fall in northern belt of the country.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 24.3 degree Celsius, which was 6 degree Celsius below normal, while it recorded minimum temperature of 11.4 degree Celsius, which was 3.1 degree Celsius below normal. The night temperature also recorded a drop of 3.4 degree Celsius.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 24.9 degree Celsius which was 6.8 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 11.6 degree Celsius which was 2.5 degree Celsius below normal. Night temperature recorded a fall of 3 degree Celsius.
Pachmarhi recorded a fall of 4.5 degree Celsius while Shajapur recorded a fall of 5.4 degree Celsius. Gwalior recorded a drop of 4.6 degree Celsius. Sheopur and Ujjain recorded a drop of 4 degree Celsius and 3 degree Celsius respectively. One centimeter rain has been experienced at various districts like Dabra, Bhander, Lahar, Morena and Amba.
Meteorological department officer GD Mishra said, “it is normal thing that there is such drop in temperature in February last. It is just because of icy wind from northern parts experiencing snow fall. The condition is likely to prevail for the couple of days in the state. Cold day like condition is likely at Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Satna, Dhar divisions.”
