Bhikangaon: Seven students of Bhikangaon excelled in the 12th state level UCMAS Abacus competition.
Over 6,000 students from across the state participated in the competition, where students had to solve over 200 difficult mathematical puzzles in just eight minutes of time. The competition was held at Emerald Heights School, Indore on Saturday and results were declared on Sunday.
Under the competition, total seven rounds of Abacus and mental arithmetic were held, which Yash cleared with ease to become the first runner-up in the competition. Kunj Patil finished second runner-up, while Kunal Mittal, Vidushi Dogaya and Harsh Mahavar were third runners-up. Punit Dubey and Aditya Agrawal also fared well in the competition.
Director of Shiva Sagar Abacus, Dharmendra Tirole and Akshay Rathore informed that the students solved 200 questions within eight minutes without taking any help of calculator. Now, the selected students will go to Ahmedabad to participate in national-level competition.
