BHOPAL: A former minister and presently the coordinator of the Niti Shodh Vibhag of BJP, Ajay Vishoni has demanded the resignation of MSME minister Sanjay Pathak, whose name figured in the multi crore Katni money laundering scam.
Talking to The Free Press Journal, Vishnoi said that in BJP ideology the nation comes first, next the party and then the person. He said when he was a minister in the BJP government, I-T sleuths had raided the residence of his brother Abhay Vishnoi.
Due to raid the image of the party was tarnished. So in keeping with the ideology of the party he tendered his resignation from the ministerial post on moral grounds. Later when his brother got a clean chit, the party again reposed faith in him and he was again made a minister.
“I am a member of the BJP for last 40 years and the newcomers are not aware about the party’s ideology. Some senior BJP leader should go and tell the minister to quit the post on moral grounds,” he added.
He also claimed that the due to the Katni scam the image of the party has been hit and hence Pathak should step down.
