Bhopal: Seminar on how to prevent drowning deaths tomorrow

BHOPAL: Taking lesson from the drowning of 16-year-old Mandar Vedghshe in Kerwa dam, Rotary Club Bhopal East and Bhopal Management Association started a campaign ‘Mandaar and No More (MANM) to save children from drowning and in the same row a national seminar is going to be organised on February 12.

In a press conference of Friday, association chairman Rahul Kothari informed that the incidents of drowning in water bodies has taken toll of 11,884 all over the country in 2014 among which 4,054 were children below age of 14 years. Discussion on various topics on how these cases can be reduced and monitoring of water bodies, which are not safe, will be done in the seminar.
