BHOPAL: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and International Copper Association India (ICA India) have taken the initiative to make the managements of power utilities and transformer manufacturers aware of BIS standards.
As part of the endeavour, a workshop on ‘Standardisation, Certification and Quality Control of Distribution Transformers’ was conducted in association with Indian Transformer Manufacturers’ Association (ITMA) and Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) here on Friday.
The seminar brought together all stakeholders including BIS officials, transformer manufacturers, regional power utilities and testing agencies on one platform to discuss the issues related to the certification process. The speakers included representatives of BIS, regional DISCOMs, OEM and testing agencies.
