Bhopal: Section 144 to be clamped during assembly session

BHOPAL: Collector Nishant Warvade has issued order regarding imposing of section 144 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), in order to maintain law and order during state Assembly session. Section 144 would be effective in the areas around state Assembly from February 21 to March 31. According to the order, five or more persons would not be allowed to assemble at any public place.

No procession-demonstration would be held and no public meetings would be conducted. No one would carry weapons at public places during the session. Sit-in, effigy burning and demonstrations have been prohibited in various areas around the Assembly.
