Bhopal: Second phase of rural polls on July 1 in 7,655 village panchayats

A total of 23,967 polling stations have been set up for voting. In the second phase, 1.31 crore voters will be able to exercise their franchise.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As many as 7655 village panchayats in 47 districts of the state will go to polls on July 1. This will be the second phase of the polls, as per an official release.

As per the release, voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm. In these constituencies, July 1 will be a holiday. Counting of votes will be done at the polling station itself immediately after polling.

A total of 23,967 polling stations have been set up for voting. In the second phase, 1.31 crore voters will be able to exercise their franchise.

According to Rakesh Singh, secretary of State Election Commission (SEC), the districts which will have panchayat polls include Rajgarh, Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Khargone, Khandwa, Dhar, Jhabua, Burhanpur, Alirajpur, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Katni, Ujjain, Ratlam, Shajapur, Agar, etc.
